Our Embroidery Club features a monthly project created in your embroidery hoop! This class is open to ALL embroidery machine owners. Project designs will be available in all embroidery formats and hoop sizes. Please provide your machine information at registration. Please bring embroidery machine, hoops and supplies including card or USB device needed to transfer designs to machine.

 January project: Introduction of Embroidablock 09

For those who had the opportunity to meet Annie Moody from Hoopsisters at our Super Sewing Extravaganza, you know how cool the Hoopsisters projects are.  I will be introducing Embroidablock ‘09 so that everyone will be able to learn this method “hands on.”  We will make one block in class.  You can then register for the entire Embroidablock program starting in February.  If you plan to join the Embroidablock ‘09 program, you may want to go ahead and choose your fabrics for the entire quilt and bring your fabrics for Block #1.  If you are attending the club class to try the technique, kits will be available for $7.

Super Stitch Club Classes are free to ALL Super Stitch machine owners.  Projects are designed to help you learn different techniques while learning to take advantage of the features and functions of your machine.  Some classes require a kit fee.  Supply lists will be provided at registration.  Classes fill quickly.  Please register early.  If you are unable to attend a class for which you have registered, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may contact a student on a waiting list.  If you are considering a machine purchase, you are invited to attend a free club class.  Please call ahead to let us know which class and machine you would like to try.
This monthly club will feature sewing techniques for all machine and skill levels.

November Project:

Cutwork and madiera applique Tea Towel
We have had a lot of interest in tea towels, so we have ordered Moda tea towel fabric that you will enjoy making your own.
I am combining the embroidery and sewing clubs for November featuring a tea towel for both sewing and embroidery machine owners.  You can choose to do both the embroidery cutwork and madiera applique or just one technique, depending on your machine.  Using your embroidery machine, you will create a cutwork poinsettia.  Using your sewing machine, you will learn to create a madiera applique hem.

Clutch Purse

I am featuring 2 different clutch purses for your holiday accessories.  This is a quick and easy purse using the decorative stitches on your sewing machine.  You will also learn to apply a decorative cord.  This is a great project for ALL levels of machines and skill level.

New!  Precision Piecing Do you ever finish a block and it doesn’t come out to the right size?  Or the seams or points just don’t come out the way they should?  Heather has developed a series of classes to help you achieve better blocks.  Pick and choose which classes you would like to take.  There will be helpful hints, tricks and hands-on training to help you improve or learn how to piece correctly.  This class is appropriate for beginner and intermediate quilters alike.
