Hoopsisters Mystery Quilt

Are you making the new Hoopsister’s Mystery Quilt?

It’s really different and you’ll have fun making it.  Lynn has put together fabric kits to make it easier for you.  Fabrics are pre-cut and labeled for each block.  All you do is download the Mystery Quilt from Hoopsisters and start making your quilt.  Nothing to cut and no confusion as to which fabric to use.  Here are the fabrics and block 1:

Rick’s Machine Maintenance

In this informative and entertaining class, you will learn to properly care for your machine, prevent costly repairs and diagnose problems.  You will be provided with a lint brush and machine oil as Rick guides you through preventive maintenance on your own machine-any make or model.  He will explain issues that he addresses during a machine service and discuss the importance of using proper needles and threads.  You will gain a better understanding of how a sewing machine operates and a greater appreciation for Rick-he hopes!

Serger Classes

Ann is offering serger classes in Warren on the last Tuesdays of the month.  

Serger Club features projects and lessons to help you make the most of your serger.  Classes are FREE to Super Stitch serger owners.  If you wish to try a serger, you are welcome to try a class at no charge to see what the fun is all about.  Some classes require a kit fee. If you own a serger not purchased at Super Stitch, you can attend Serger Club project for a $10 class fee.  You will need to have an understanding of your serger operation.

September

 Project:  Cubed serger quilt

See how easy it is to make this cubed quilt on your serger.  Using a 4-thread overlock, you will achieve fast AND accurate results even if you are a beginner.

Sewing Club

SRSuper Stitch Club Classes are free to ALL Super Stitch machine owners.  Projects are designed to help you learn different techniques while learning to take advantage of the features and functions of your machine.  Some classes require a kit fee.  Supply lists will be provided at registration.  Classes fill quickly.  Please register early.  If you are unable to attend a class for which you have registered, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may contact a student on a waiting list.  If you are considering a machine purchase, you are invited to attend a free club class.  Please call ahead to let us know which class and machine you would like to try.
This monthly club will feature sewing techniques for all machine and skill level

June

Project:  Humbug Bag

This is a great little bag for holding just about any “little something”.  You will have options for quilting the bag including free motion, walking foot, Acufeed (6600 or 7700 owners), Acufil (11000SE owners) and double chain using the Cover Pro.  This is a great opportunity to try something new. Insert the zipper and you’re almost done.

July/August

Project:  Sewing Revolution Samplers

I will teach 2 different sampler blocks in July and August.  You can attend one or both classes.  There will be different applique and decorative options taught in each class.

JULY

July’s block features turned applique, decorative and twin needle stitching, quilting, and use of the Sewing Revolution rulers.

August’s block features applique options using satin stitch, blanket stitch or applique stitch.  I will demonstrate each with tips on perfect points.  I will also teach couching and other decorative options.

Embroidery Club

Embroidery Club is Free to Super Stitch Embroidery machine owners.  Each month will feature a project made with your embroidery machine.  Most projects can be made on most models.  Please read the description of each project for details.  Please bring your embroidery foot, hoops and transfer device (USB stick or flash card).

An evening class will be added if requested by at least 3 students.  Please let Lynn know if you wish to have an evening Club session.

September

Project:  Appliqued Wine Bottle Towel Topper

Technique:  In the hoop Applique

Just in time for Wine Fest!  Make this quick and easy project featuring applique done in the hoop.  The new Dakota towel topper collection has some very cute designs to make great gifts.  All Dakota designs are 25% off this month!  The wine bottle design will be provided for class.

October

Project:  Cutwork pillow

Technique:  In the hoop cutwork

Using  one of the Anita Goodesign Autumn Cutwork Medallion designs, you will create a beautiful cutwork design on a linen crocheted napkin which will be used to create a pillow with the November appliqued leaf project.  After learning to create cutwork in your embriodery hoop and while your machines are embroidering the cutwork, we will demonstrate some feet and accessories.

November

Project:  Appliqued Leaves

Technique:  Variations of in the hoop applique and combining and editing designs

Using another crocheted napkin, you will learn to combine and edit designs on your machine using Anita Goodesign free standing leaves.  The leaves will be appliqued using different applique techniques. 

You will be able to create a pillow by joining the 2 crocheted napkins from the October and November classes with ribbons.

Software Class with Ann

Software Classes

Monthly software classes are offered to help you learn to use the features of your software. Please check the schedule for dates and class descriptions.  Some lessons include features of both levels of Digitizer-Digitizer Jr. and Digitizer Pro, while some features will only be available in Digitizer Pro.  You are welcome to attend any of the classes regardless of the version you own.  If bringing your own laptop, please remember to bring your dongle! 
Floriani software lessons are taught in Warren generally the last Tuesday of the month.  If you are unable to attend the Warren classes, please call to schedule a time for me to review Floriani lessons with you.
If you do not yet own any software, you are welcome to attend any of the software classses to see what additional software will offer.
