I am happy to repeat the beginner knitting class with Ellen. If you missed the first class, you have another chance to learn the basics of knitting.
Ellen has taught knitting classes at the Cultured Purl in Erie PA, and at the Kinzua Knit Away in
Warren, PA. Students ranged in age from 7 years to 80 years old. There is a wide variety of
techniques and projects that she has made. She is also a valued test knitter for designers and
sample knitter for books. Ellen writes her own patterns as well, and currently has 12 knitting
patterns for sale and is working on more to come. You can find her at knitdesignsbyelle.com or
as knittinkitten22 on ravelry.com.

Day 1-Thursday, October 26th from 10-5
Fit to Fabulous $59

Judy Kessinger, inventor and Designer of the FitNiceSystem, will take the mystery out of fitting during the Fit to Fabulous Class! If you have ever wanted to try to make clothes for yourself or others this is the class for you. This is a lecture, not a hands-on class, so the only thing you need for class is pen and paper for note taking.
Judy will discuss issues that most ladies have when fitting tops and pants, and how to solve those issues.
A Trunk Show of garments that show various tricks that conceal and embrace issues (such as sloping shoulders)
Plus-Personal Fittings
Judy will personally measure each lady and draw on a miniature pattern where you can go home and draw for yourself.
Day 2-Friday, October 27th from 10-5
Serger Blouse $89

The serger blouse can be made with any fabric—I love cotton fabric for its softness and batik for the colors and that they are the same on both sides!
Both short sleeve and long sleeve have finished edges—on the serger—so no hemming at all!

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS: Any knit that doesn’t roll on the edges. Heavier knits such as Sophia and Ponte Roma work beautifully for this project. The back of the fabric needs to look as good as the front…both show when the front cascades.
