Join Ellen for this fun 3-part Intermediate-Level knitting class to learn how to make “Basic Socks” using knitting in the round techniques.
Prerequisite: Students should know how to knit and purl and be comfortable using smaller sized needles and sock yarn.
In this class, you will learn:
- Using double point needles to knit in the round.
- Basic sock construction. Decreasing and increasing stitches for heel and toe shaping.
- Kitchener Stitch for closing the toe.
Supplies Needed:
- Sock Yarn (thin, fingering weight yarn)
- Size 2 double point knitting needles
- Tapestry needle
Class fee of $60 includes instruction for all three class sessions.
Please note – Ellen will have select sock yarn stock available at the first class session, and you can purchase that directly from her at a discounted rate (cash or check). She will also have a limited supply of double point needles available for purchase as well at the first class meeting.
