May Sewing/Embroidery Club

Club Classes are FREE classes for ALL Super Stitch machine owners.
Classes are offered in store and virtually and are recorded
and added to a private YouTube channel provided upon request.

The month’s Club Class will be a combination Sewing and Embroidery project. We are excited to offer the Hoopsisters Sunflower Bonus Rope Bowl as a class. Thanks to Lynda Remmers(Hoopsister) and Anne Hein (Janome educator) for their ideas. In addition to the in the hoop Sunpplique, I will teach several options for all Super Stitch machine owners-embroidery and non-embroidery, Janome and Brother:

• Pre-cut sunflower using Artistic Digitizer and Edge cutter
• Pre-cut sunflower using Brother machine and Scan n Cut
• Applique sunflower on sewing machine (non-embroidery)
• Using circular attachment (non-embroidery)

Class Description: Using the adorable sunflower from HoopSisters Sunflower Collection, we will make the cutest rope bowl you’ve ever seen. This is not your ordinary rope bowl, this one has fabric lining the inside bottom, as well as the outside bottom. No need to try to embroider directly on the rope!

Supply list:

• Embroidery threads, two shades of yellow, brown, black, prewound embroidery bobbin
• Natural color Aurifil cotton thread with two bobbins
• Washaway thread
• Narrow walking foot, Acufeed foot, MuVit foot or zigzag foot
• HoopScissors mini scissors

Embroidery machine owners-also bring:

• Your embroidery machine
• Hoop to accommodate a 6 inch design

Non-embroidery machine owners-also bring:

• Open toe applique foot
• Circular sewing attachment (available for class use)
