Join Ann to learn some various sewing and embroidery techniques, while making a 18″ throw pillow cover for our April 2025 combined Sewing and Embroidery Club! This pillow cover is the perfect gift for mom, or make it to keep for yourself.

We will begin with a demo to learn how to convert a built-in embroidery design to an in-the-hoop applique using Janome Artistic Digitizer (which has a free trial in April, and is also compatible with Brother machines!). Embroidery Club members will then stitch out our design out in the hoop.

Once the embroidery machine owners have stitched out their applique designs, everyone (including Sewing Club) will construct their pillow covers. Sewing techniques covered in construction of the pillow cover include using a ruffler to make our ruffle, adding corner pockets, and making an envelope closure on the back side of it.

Choose in-store (with or without a kit) or choose virtual (with or without a kit). The cost of the class is free for our machine owners; if you choose the “with a kit” option, the kits are $20, which will give you all the fabrics needed for making the pillow cover.
