Beginner Knitting Class

Begin to Knit

This is a class for true beginning knitters.  An overview of knitting terms, yarn and needle types, and other examples will be given.  Skills covered will include casting on, executing the basic knit stitch, yarn tension, counting rows, avoiding mistakes, and casting off.  Patterns for beginners will be available, as well as yarn suitable for those who wish to make an item. 

Class fee: $25.00

Saturday, February 10^th   10:00-12:00

Materials:  Size 8 or 7 wooden knitting needles and worsted weight yarn.  Materials available for purchase at the class with cash or check)
